Watt Are You Doing: Focus on Our Design Office
What does a design office actually do? To shed some light, we talked to those clever people at the Fonroche Lighting Design Office. Here they are on video:
Explain, advise, innovate
What the Design Office
does
a. Project design
As you’ll have
guessed, the experts at our Design Office assess the feasibility of your
project. Their top priority is to ensure your satisfaction as a customer by
devising an optimally tailored solution to your requirement, coupled with
unbeatable value for money. Whether it’s a small-scale, one-off installation or
a huge government project with thousands of solar streetlights, they treat each
enquiry in the same professional manner.
To ensure a fast response that exactly fits your needs, our engineers and technicians also travel to your project site. Google Maps is great, but an actual site visit gives them a clearer and more complete picture of the requirement. They offer technical advice on your project and make any adjustments to the solution, based on their measurements and observations.
b. Sales support
As well as project
design, the Design Office is a real toolbox of solutions for our sales teams.
At sales presentations, for example, our experts provide input and reassurances
for customers and help ensure the proposed solution exactly matches your need.
They also attend
international trade fairs to support our sales teams, provide technical
expertise and stay abreast of latest market requirements.
c. Innovation
Compliance with
standards is mandatory. Public lighting is a regulated market, and numerous
standards and guidelines are issued in France and internationally. The Design
Office needs to have a thorough grasp of these standards and align its work
accordingly.
Our technicians work closely with the R&D department on the technical and development side of our products. Innovation is at the heart of Fonroche Lighting’s strategy and it’s what drives each of the company’s departments.
The lighting experts of a sustainable future
Training for
technical personnel
Our Design Office
experts have varying levels of qualifications, from vocational certificates or
vocational first degrees to master’s degrees from leading engineering schools.
Fonroche Lighting has been involved for several years in supporting and
training the lighting experts of a sustainable future. Our team is growing
every year, especially with new, highly motivated work-study apprentices and
interns joining us, like Emilien and Rémy.
