The capital of Cameroon, Yaoundé, carried out rehabilitation work in its historic center at the end of 2018.
On this occasion, autonomous solar streetlights were installed on about 2.5 kilometers of roadway, to secure the Etam Bafia district. Until then, public lighting was not present, leaving the heart of the city in the dark, causing vandalism and crime.
Residents and shopkeepers are also pleased with this urban lighting. Indeed, the solar streetlights promote economic development and boost the life of the neighborhood by extending the hours of light.
