In 2021, our teams completed a project to illuminate an isolated spot in Añora, located in the province of Cordoba in Andalusia. The project involved making a speed bump safer and more visible to motorists, while avoiding the costs and challenges associated with connecting to the traditional electricity grid.
The isolated point where lighting was required was located in an environment far from any existing electrical infrastructure. To meet this crucial need for night lighting, an innovative solution was found: the installation of an autonomous solar streetlight. This approach avoided the complex work of digging trenches and laying cables, as well as recurring electricity costs.
The installed solar streetlight offers numerous advantages for the municipality. Economical, ecological and requiring little maintenance, this solution now makes the area and the speed bump, which had become dangerous after dark, safer.
The project is also part of an energy transition approach, offering the local authority a sustainable and responsible alternative. By limiting installation costs, our solution contributes to reducing the carbon footprint while meeting the budgetary constraints of traditional lighting.
The solar lighting installed at Añora represents a modern, efficient solution for meeting public lighting needs in isolated areas, while at the same time helping to protect the environment.
